Story behind it

Lalapan nor Karedok can’t be separated from the Sundanese habit of eating something that is close to their lives. Sundanese people’s habit closes with nature influences to their daily diet.

Habit to eat raw food without process is also reflects the Sundanese point of life regarding simplicity. They believe enjoyment can be obtained from something simple. Moreover this simple dish is healthy.

Enjoyment and health. These two things are necessity for everyone wherever they live. It is not surprising that Karedok is also eaten by people outside West Java.
